The drink is made in the Fabrica de Tequilas Finos distillery in the city of Tequila. It is based - as is usual for the drink - exclusively on the hearts of the blue weaver ragave, which originate from the regions Los altos de Jalisco and Tequila. These are cooked, fermented and distilled. The distillate is mixed with the finest water, previously filtered through Mexican silver, making the drink smoother and smoother, positioning Rooster Rojo as the first tequila brand to ever take this step.
